  1. Check out the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells Texas. I grew up there. It is a 14 fl Spanish Revival Style Hotel and they are currently redoing it after it being closed since 1973. In the 1980s before they sold all the furniture I would skip school there. It was my first experience with grand architecture & design and is my favorite to this day. You are the first that I have seen that likes it as well. I love your new home I can’t wait to see what you do with it. I love all the light fixtures please don’t take them out. I just now started watching you. I really enjoy your videos. You are very easy on the eyes and I love your clothes!

  2. I love a lot of elements of a handful of these. I would defo have either industrial or japandi as a base then mix elements of wabi sabi and danish pastel into it. Whilst also putting my own unique taste in as well by having some dark gothic elements in there – in a more minimalist way to avoid it being kitschy.

  3. I have no idea why my design style is. I have some antique furniture, I like rustic looking things. I’ve tried to mix in some mid century modern pieces but the thrift and antique stores around here literally have nothing. Online, everything is super expensive in the Scandinavian or mcm styles. If anyone knows of any resources for that that aren’t super pricey, lmk.

  4. “Monochromatic” is a useful aesthetic and can be quite beautiful when done correctly. A friend of mine has a VERY eclectic personal style when it comes to collecting furniture (Victorian chairs, MCM sofa, Louis XV bedroom, etc.) To tame all of this mess, he reupholstered EVERYTHING in the same cream-colored raw silk, painted a lot of the wood pieces black, and then painted every wall in his house dark taupe. The effect was fantastic. His place went from thrift-shop-chaos to magazine-perfect almost instantaneously.

  5. Fascinating. You are so knowledgeable about your trends in your field. That’s another reason why it’s so much fun to watch your channel.
