Paul, thank you for your work and this video! You explained it very well. I also love pros & cons! 🙌👍
Thank you and hope the video was helpful. Pros and cons are awesome!
Thank you for this video. I would love to see a full video of both woocommerce and ecwid too! I am building my website for my jewelry business & I need ecommerce functionality. I am possibly going to be creating a multi vendor marketplace website in the near future. Your content is very much appreciated!
No problem and hope it has been helpful, I am planning on doing an Ecwid tutorial soon. What kind of jewelry do you make? Multi vendor marketplaces are a very challenging business to try and launch.
@EcommerceGold I can imagine they would be more challenging for sure!
I design one-of-a-kind art jewelry. My work incorporates copper electroform organic elements, and I work with polymer clay too. I am currently building my own business e-commerce site & thinking seriously about a multi-vendor site for artists to sell all different types of artworks. Thanks for asking :)) & Thanks for the video! ~Take care, Suz
By all means, I’d love to see the Ecwid platform tutorial!
I am planning on doing one soon, I just need to sit down and actually do it!
As requested by quite a few people, I’ve eventually got round to doing an Ecwid Tutorial https://youtu.be/ROlwjqr6zZw
You are giving the most valuable knowledge bro thanku…
Thank you and hope the video was helpful
hello community. So when i use plugins like the woocomerce or contact form, they really look bad, the layout is completly destroyed. Any tips?
There could be a few reasons but a common cause is plugin conflicts or a plugin conflicting with your theme. Best advice is to create a staging site, deactivate all your plugins, then try activating the plugin you are having problems with and see if it works ok with your theme, if it does, then go through and activate your other plugins until you find the one that is causing the problem. Finding these issues is very much trial and error and there isn’t really a quick fix.
Yes please! I would love to see a complete tutorial for WooCommerce in WordPress. Thank you for your videos.
so many of us are doing small B&B lodging business. HOW do I add a calendar/booking engine to my wordpress site? the hotel theme that I am using has a booking plugin but it is confusing in that I am suppose to add short code and it is intimidating. I have not used wordpress before. Isn’t there a drag and drop easier plugin not code to find and copy? thank you
There are plenty of booking plugins for WordPress, I haven’t tried any personally but there is probably one that offers what you are looking for. But shortcodes are very easy to use, simply copy the code, go to the page you want to use it, add the shortcode block and paste the code.
Hi there, thank you for this video, it’s been quite informative. I’m wondering though, most of the products I have coming up are of the digital form, e-books and online courses. Would woocommerce still be effective for these types of products?
Hi, no problem and I’m glad it was helpful. You could use WooCommerce for digital products but you need to think about where the digital products are hosted and how they are sent to your customers.
@EcommerceGold I already have a wordpress website, so I assume I’ll be able to upload the files onto there. Do you know if I’ll be able to arrange delivery of the files through the woocommerce plugin?
You can upload it to your own hosting and you can set it up in the plugin how they are delivered to your customers. If your online course includes video content, I would consider hosting it externally or use a dedicated course platform.
@EcommerceGold ok great, thanks so much for the advice! The e-books and such are my initial consideration right now…courses will be down the line. Thanks again!
Please do a a full ECWID tutorial! thanks!!
Already done https://youtu.be/ROlwjqr6zZw 🙂
Please do a full tutorial
On which one?
Thank you for this great tutorial!
No problem and hope it was helpful.
I think I may have to start from scratch (I hope not) but I already finished my website and added all my products and made separate web pages. Is there any way to add woo without having to add all my existing products all over again?
What have you used to build your website?
I’d love to see a video with a how to set up Ecwid
Here you go 🙂 https://youtu.be/ROlwjqr6zZw
Can one migrate wordpress Ecommerce website including the woocommerce features to another host?
As long as it is a self-hosted WordPress site, then yes you can move it from one host to another.
@EcommerceGold Thank you!
